Emerald Advisors is seeking a Client Administrator to join our team of professionals focused on providing purpose-driven wealth management to high-net-worth clients. This is an opportunity to be the face of our firm through the account onboarding and day-to-day management of valuable client relationships. As a critical team member, you will contribute to a thriving business while being a part of the inner workings of an independent registered investment advisor. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the new client onboarding process including opening brokerage accounts, overseeing the transfer of assets, managing money movements and regular communications with the client along the way.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and the custodian(s) as well as advisors.
- Aggregate and provide tax documents (i.e., 1099’s, K-1’s, etc.).
- Establish, manage and monitor client cash flows including ensuring sufficient funds for pending money movements, checking RMDs, fulfilling capital calls, establishing journals or wires.
- Become the subject matter expert for Schwab Advisor Center and Fidelity Wealthscape.
- Manage client data within the CRM and monitor to ensure accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or business.
- Experience with brokerage accounts and third-party custodians such as Schwab/Fidelity a plus.
- 3+ years industry experience.
- Strong computer literacy.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure follow through.
- Strong communication skills including written correspondence.
- Team player, collaborative, and able to work well with others.
- Passion for helping clients.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically on a strategic level, take initiative and problem-solve.

We build relationships to last so the applicant must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, gain trust with our clients while executing necessary tax preparations, and be able to manage complex financial situations. *This is a full-time position (approx. 40 hours per week) and will include benefits. Flexible working hours and occasional remote working will be considered. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities Include:

Collaborate with staff on income tax strategies, preparation, estate, retirement, investment and/or insurance planning.

Organize and update accounting records both digital and physical when required.

Represent our clients with IRS, State or other audits.

Maintain accurate financial records for clients including running detailed audits to ensure accuracy.

Review completed tax forms and provide recommendations.

Research and resolve tax and accounting issues affecting our firm and/or clients.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and

Credentials and skills required:

Active CPA certification required.

5 + years’ experience in public accounting (may consider less for the right applicant).

Experience with Lacerte or equivalent tax software.

In-depth tax knowledge at the local, state, and federal levels regarding individual income tax returns
as well as estate tax returns.

Audit experience with IRS and state tax authorities (optional).

experience both in person and through virtual tools.

- Prepare slides for client proposals and annual review meetings. Coordinate post-meeting follow-ups.
